Nursing Services
Nursing Services
- The residence provides residents with nursing services provided by an Operations Manager, a Nursing Manager, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Resident Attendants (care assistants), a Rehabilitation Attendant, and an Office Clerk.
- The doctor conducts regular medical visits and is available on call 24 hours a day.
- Pharmaceutical services are provided by a licensed pharmacy, and a pharmacist is available on call at all times.
- A foot care service is available upon request. The associated costs are the responsibility of the resident or their family.
Palliative care
- The hospice offers comprehensive palliative care. The care team encourages the participation of loved ones during this stage of life.
- Upon request, a chaplain can be called upon to provide the desired spiritual services.
Rehabilitation
A rehabilitation worker visits the home every week and conducts assessments upon admission and regular follow-ups as needed.
Consultation services are available from the Extra-Mural Program’s professional team, which includes an occupational therapist, a physical therapist, and a speech-language pathologist.
The rehabilitation officer ensures that consultations are properly monitored.
Food Service
Food and Nutrition Service
- The goal of the food service is to provide a pleasant, nutritious, and safe meal service to all our residents, as close as possible to what they would experience at home.
- Three meals and two snacks are provided daily. All three meals are served in the dining room, which offers a warmer atmosphere and allows residents to socialize during mealtimes.
- The menu of meals offered at the residence is based on local eating habits and also takes into account the preferences, tastes, and requests of our residents.
- Menus are displayed in each section of the foyer for residents and families.
- A clinical nutrition service is offered to all residents by a professional dietitian.
- The Dietitian conducts nutritional assessments of residents according to a pre-established schedule and as needed.
- The Dietitian works with the Food Service Manager on menu planning.
- A meal delivery service is offered to community members who wish to use it.

Leisure services
- The Recreation Coordinator and volunteers organize a variety of recreational activities for all residents to maintain a good quality of life.
- A monthly activity schedule is available at the entrance to the activity room. Family members and friends are encouraged to participate with residents.
- Residents of the home have access to the services of a chaplain to meet their spiritual needs. Mass is celebrated on site once a week.
Maintenance Services
Housekeeping
- The housekeeping team proudly maintains residents’ rooms, dining rooms, and common areas of the home to ensure a pleasant and clean environment.
Laundry
- The residence provides an on-site laundry service for residents’ personal clothing, bedding, and towels.
- Upon admission and when purchasing new clothing, residents’ personal laundry will be labeled by staff.
Maintenance and safety
- The residence offers repair and maintenance services for building equipment and grounds, ensuring an attractive and safe environment.
- Some minor repairs or adjustments to appliances requested by residents can be carried out by maintenance staff. All requests must be made through the nurse in charge.
- The home is equipped with an alarm system that includes an anti-elopement feature.
- A restricted access system is in place, or certain areas of the residence are restricted to employees only.
- A paging system that transmits alarms from residents’ rooms is used by employees.
- A camera surveillance system is in place and used for security measures.
- Fire drills are conducted monthly.
- Visiting hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- The main entrance doors are locked between 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.
Hairdresser and Barber Services
Hairdresser and Barber Services
- Residents have access to hairdressing and barber services in the salon set up for this purpose. The associated costs are the responsibility of the resident or their guarantor.
- The hours of access and a list of associated costs are posted outside the lounge, along with a locked box for depositing payments.
